Nauru Tower is Hawaii's premiere luxury Condominium located near Ala Moana beach park and Waikiki in Honolulu on the island of Oahu. Experience prestigious living in Hawaii's condominium of the year.
The bold design of Nauru Tower, the
anchoring first of the three phases in a master planned Kakaako district
improvement, fulfills that trust with the 418 foot stature of Hawaii's tallest
building. Nauru Tower's 44 story, cast-in-place reinforced concrete structure
employs an inner, box shaped "super core" wall system to control the
possible lateral sway and twisting effects of hurricanes and
earthquakes.
This system avoids massive perimeter frame
structure and this optimizes spectacular view. This "super core"
mast is rigidly secured as its base by 100-foot-deep tension anchor
piling.
The complementary used of a radial
configuration of concrete walls allows wide expression of unique cantilevered
building features beyond its unifying half circle form.
The most prominent sweeping gesture is a
12-story-high mauka projection of cantilevered floors, elevated 290 feet above
ground.
A pioneering advancement in construction
technique was developed with a lightweight aluminum wall forming systems and a
rapid "pour down" method of casting concrete walls and slabs at the
same time. Using these unconventional time-saving solutions, only four days
were required to complete each 15,000 square foot floor. Nauru Tower has
reached a pinnacle in the expression of curved building form through
innovations in structural design and construction engineering
Nauru Tower has achieved a substantial step
toward ensuring long-term financial security for the 7,000 citizens of the
Republic of Nauru. Located 26 miles south of the equator and roughly halfway
between Hawaii and Australia, the Pacific Islands nation entrusts its future
to development funded by its remaining eight to 10 year supply of calcium
phosphate rock.
